Foreword by the Commissioner

I, on behalf of the Government of Ethiopia, would like to start by thanking all the women and men at the frontline fighting the immense challenge the world is facing today as a result of the fast spreading COVID-19 pandemic. The virus knows no boundary, age or status; everyone is equally at risk of being infected. However, its impact on the health system and the overall economy is disproportionally suffered by developing countries, including Ethiopia.
