The UNDP-supported project has been helping the affected communities live safe, honorable, and resilient lives for the past four years. Ten woredas, including the Gedeo and Guji zones as well as the Amaro and Burji special woredas, have been running it. Construction of permanent homes for returnees, activities to restore farmer livelihoods, the economic empowerment of women and youth, infrastructure restoration, and the development of local government capacity were some of the areas on which the implementation concentrated. Over 50,000 people were directly served by the project.
